Tuan's lacquer jewellery

Tuan on nuori taiteilijamies, jolla on oma korustudio Huessa. Tutustuimme Tuaniin hänen koruliikkeessään, jonne kerran eksyimme. Ihastuimme koko Suomi-nelikko hänen koruihinsa ja niitä koruja tulikin shoppailtua kerran jos toisenkin. Tuan tekee koruja lacqeur-tekniikalla, jota Vietnamissa perinteisesti käytetään maalauksissa, astioissa ja koriste-esineissä.

Tuan is a young artist who has his own jewellery studio in Hue. We got to know Tuan in his shop which we once ended up visiting. All four of us Finns fell in love with his jewellery and bought quite a few of them. Tuan uses a lacquer-technique that is traditionally used in Vietnamese paintings as well as in decorative and everyday items like vases.

Koska korujen näprääminen sattuu olemaan meille kahdellekin aikamoinen intohimo niin tottahan toki siinä sitten ystävystyessä tuli myös bisnekset puheeksi. Tällä hetkellä meillä on rinkassa ihan kohtalaiset kasat Tuanilta ostettuja korunosia ja hänen tuotteitaan, joita tullaan myymään sitten Suomessa.

Because making jewellery happens to be an obsession for both of us, we ended up discussing about business as well. At the moment we have quite a lot of his products and jewellery making items in our backbags. We are planning to sell them in Finland.

Tuan on yksi mukavimmista ihmisistä, joita Huessa tapasimme. Toivomme hänen bisnekselleen kaikkea hyvää :)

Tuan is really one of the nicest people we met in Hue. We wish all the best for his business in the future :)
